About

So, about the name…

Yeah, that’s me. The Korean guy who decided to run a guesthouse for 5 years in, of all places, Venice, Italy.

My days weren’t just about changing sheets and handing out keys. My real job was talking to thousands of travelers from all over the world. Over countless espressos and late-night beers in the alleyways next to Piazza San Marco, I became a human recommendation engine.

“Where’s the best pasta that’s not a tourist trap?”

“What’s a cool souvenir that’s not a cheesy mask?”

Through those conversations, I developed an eye for what people from different cultures found genuinely cool and valuable.

And then, 2020 happened. A certain virus decided my Venice chapter had to end. It sucked. There’s no other way to put it.

What comes After Venice?

You come back home to Seoul. You drink a lot of beer. And you realize the one thing you miss is that daily job of connecting people with cool stuff.

That’s why this blog exists.

K-Dramas and K-Pop show you the fantasy. I’m here to show you the reality—the real, stylish, and surprisingly affordable stuff that makes up that “Korean vibe.” The items real Koreans use and love.

My guesthouse in Venice is closed, but consider this blog its online successor. I’m still a host, and you are my guest. My goal is to use my “guesthouse owner’s eye,” honed by 5 years of global conversations, to be your most trusted guide to Korean style.

When I’m not blogging…

When I’m not hunting for the next great gift idea, you can probably find me:

  • Getting choked out on a jiu-jitsu mat (I’m a half-guard addict. Oss.)
  • Searching for the perfect craft beer (because beer is not alcohol, it’s a beverage).
  • Exploring a new corner of Seoul with my amazing girlfriend, Gayeon.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m genuinely glad you’re here.
